i knew such was the case w/ the 5.2 option, same true w/ the slimmed down
motor as well?

-92-93 V6 Dakotas did have a stock 3" pipe going from the y-pipe to the
-catalytic converter, as well as having a stock 3" converter. In 1994 the
-'pre cat' became smaller. I also believe the stock 92-93 exhaust manifolds
-have slightly larger inside diameters.
