Yes. you MUST get a power wire thru the fire wall. That or run it under the
truck and drill upwards which isn't a good idea. If you own a Gen 3 dakota,
there's a rubber grommet on the driver's side where the brake booster is
(big round thing that is attached to the master cylinder) poke a hole away
from the wire that comes out of it. Get youself a metal hanger and feed it
down the hole until you can see the hanger on you floor board where your gas
pedal is. Tape the end of the (minimium of 8 gauge wire) to the hanger and
pull from inside the cab through.

Not that hard. run power wires down the left side of the truck and run RCA
wires down the right side of the truck. Keep the two wires away from each
other or you'll get a lot of noise in your system.

OK..one more question...Is it absolutely necessary to hook up the power to
the
batery? Gettin through the firewall seems like a bitch..Can I just tap off
the radio or go to the fuse box?
