Travis, I have a 4.7L, but I will give you my thoughts on the things you
asked about even though some don't apply to my Dakota. Plugs- I change 'em
at every service(2500 miles). Plugs are cheap, why not? I would replace the
wires, cap & rotor at every 10,000 miles just because that would make sure
that you didn't go too long on any of them, and it would be easy to remember
when to change them. Anything else you need to know about? I have a
maintenance schedule that is pretty detailed, and can let you know more of
it if you need info on anything else. I've found with all the previous
vehicles that a good plan for maintenance is to take the "severe service"
schedule and cut everything in half. That will give you a REALLY good
maintenance schedule, and it'd be hard to let anything go too long like
that! HTH,

What kind of maintenace schedules you guys keep? I know there are some
schedules contained in the manual, but I think more should be/could be done.
I am not worried about oil changes, since I have timeframe that I do that
in. I would like to know things like how often spark plugs, plug wires, cap
and rotor, etc should be changed? What about cleaning things like the TB?
What do you guru's recommend?
Thanks,
Travis
