As long as you put a good, wait GREAT trans cooler on the Dak, I would say
it
would help! With the current converter, it can't stall up into the power
band to get moving very well. With the stall converter, it can stall up
into
the tq band and get moving. The only side affect will be more heat, which
is
normal from a converter when you stall it. I would get a really good trans
cooler (biggest one you can fit on teh Dak) and be happy with the extra
stall. Another good point, the aftermarket converter will have a a higher
tq
converting ratio. In other words, it will allow more tq to be transfered to
your rear wheels. The only reason I won't tow with mine is becuase of the
advanced timing I am using would cause major pinging! Check out KRC
Performance for the Viper Converters. They are definately worth the money!
