Shift, lift but still happy

Cayuga update:

The weather cooperated on Sat. (60F, 48% humidity, 10 mph tailwind)
and I went to the 'opening' day, (rain date - $10CDN a head).

I got in 11 runs before the track's computer printer went ape.
2 - 14.8Xs, 2 - 14.9Xs, 5 - 15.0Xs, 1 - 15.1X when the brakes
wouldn't hold at the tree (launch pad was slippery all day) and
I had to backed off with a 1200 rpm launch, 1 - 15.2X when I
shifted from 1st into D (auto. 2-3 shifts put the truck below its
power band).

While the diy tranny work done in March did not fully correct the
WOT manual shift problems completely, it must have done something
as I'm getting a bit more power to the wheels ... ran 6 - 92.XX mph runs,
contrasted with the single one all of last year.

It was also good for the ego when only one car (12.605) beat me to
the finish line in those 11 runs. People do get upset when they're
beat by a pickup.

Now, to set up an install appointment for the 3000 stall converter.
