Hey Wes!
There are two things that turned me away when I bought my '01. First, towing
capacity is less with the R/T. Secondly, when Chrysler put a 4X4 Durango
with a 5.9L vs. a 4X4 Durango with a 4.7L in a quarter mile battle, the 4.7L
won. Just barely, but it did. It's lighter but still puts out the ponies!
Nothing against the 360! Baby Big Blocks rule! With the 4.7L, I have more
ability to save fuel consumption on my daily drive.
Just my $0.23

Ok, I realize this is a vague question... lemme clarify =)
I am considering purchasing... wiht the exception of pinging (which is
dealable) and the lack of ac, I've LOVED my dakota.... but I dont wanna
order my custom dakota r/t... if they are known to be lemons... or have had
serious problems with tranny's or anything.
ANY input would be GREAT!
Wes
