Glenn,

Good luck finding a Gen II door handle at the junkyard. If you can find one it should run you about $10 buck. To replace it, you just remove the interior door panel with the window rolled up, disconnect the door handle coat hanger thingy, and remove the nuts on the back of the door handle. Installation is just the reverse. Make sure to keep the weather seal that goes under the lip on the outside of the door handle. The door luck just unscrews on the back and you can replace that more easily that the door handle it self. All in all it should take you 30-45 minutes depending how many beverages and breaks it takes you :)

Just make sure to get a door handle off a 92-96 Dakota. Gen1 door handles DO NOT work on Gen2's.
Good luck
