You need to go to a dealer that deals in 97 and up trucks, or was that 98
and up?! Anyways, they're way behind the times. I hope you're not letting
them change your gears out.

hmmm, thats weird...Hard to understand..I called the dealership, and they
told me that there are 3 different speedo gears for trucks with a 3.92 rear
ratio. a 35 tooth, 36 and 38. The different gears depend on which tire
size you have. Mine has 255.65.15's on it...I am going to keep the same
tires I have now, since they are new and have no need to be changed. How
does the speed sensor measure the amount of times the diff turns without
knowing what the variables are. If I put a 3.92 instead of a 3.55, I
figured it would turn quite a bit faster than stock...I am asking because I
don't really know too much about this truck yet as far as modifying stuff
like this...When I made the change on my Mustang, I went from a 3.08 to a
3.73, changed to speedo gear on the side of the trans and its all good...

There is NO speedo gear that needs to be changed and no recalibration of
anything required. Your speed sensor is on the rear axle, and the only
change to your truck that will result in a required recalibration is a
change intire size.
