I'm going to check with the dealership that did the flash and see if
they have a record of what the set it to. The service advisor said it
was set for 31" tires, the maximum available setting. I have absolutely
no faith in anything they say, more on that to come in another post.
When I had them do the flash on the new PCM I told them it needed VIN,
odo, and tire size. When I got the PCM the instruction sheet said it
should only take 2/10 of an hour to install and flash. I installed it
myself and was not surprised to find out that the cost of flashing it
was for one full hour, $69.95. At the end of the day, after dropping it
off at 8am, I got a call that it was ready. When I picked it up the
BRAKE, ABS, and CHECK ENGINE lights were still on. So I said 'what
gives?' did you do the flash or not? A tech came over with a scantool
and re-entered the VIN and tire setting, lighta still on. So I say 'hey
man, don't you have to enter the odo?' 'I don't think so' he says 'but I
can try.'. Bing, warning lights go off. Dipshit. And of course I had to
pay full price, I asked for the service manager to call me so I could
bitch, and of course he didn't.

I'll call tomorrow and see if it was set to 689. Ron, do you know what
CABS stands for? Because I'm sure the service advisor won't know.
