Definately avoid Armor All! The FAA banned the use of this product on
aircraft tires because it breaks down polymers (especially when exposed to
ultra-violet light present in normal sunlight). Also, if you use it on a
dash board, sunlight vaporizes the product. The vapors then gradually work
their way in between the layers of the safety glass windshield, causing a
"fogging" effect around the lower edge over time. I've seen this result
personally. I've used a glycerine-like product (I believe it was called Tire
Black, but that was a long time ago, so I'm not exactly sure). Lately, I've
stuck with good old water with a little bit of soap.
