It's also known as an IAC. Get them at your dealer ~$100.

What does the IAS sensor do and where can I get a new one. I've been
reading alot about them on the group lately but I still don't know what it
is. I've been getting 12 mpg with my truck (1995 dak 3.9L) for two years
and haven't ever been able to find out why. I'm hard on the gas but I don't
think i'm 12mpg bad.

Thanks
Geoff

V6 was getting consitent 10 mpg no matter what driving conditions. 8 months
later I changed it out and I am back to my 20-21 mpg.
