I was told that failure of a dealer to replace a faulty cat under warranty is a
violation of federal emissions law.
I had mine replaced at 29k for rattling and I have mopar headers that weld
directly to the cat. The dealer had to sublet the welding to a muffler shop but
charged me nothing and made no bad remarks to me either. Dodge truck cats go
bad frequently! Ask any muffler shop!
