Parasitic loss from an AC compressor that uses R134 refrigerant (one of the
newer ones) is 4 hp. Yep, you heard it right, 4 hp. Your clutch fan is the
killer, not the AC.

I would think that any power gains from blowing air conditioned (thus
cooler) air into the intake would be offset by the power needed to run the
compressor. Even if you ran it off the compressor you already have
(assuming you have airconditioning), wouldnt it still be running all the
time instead of when ever you turned your climate controls to "AC"?

I know on those salt flat speed running vehicles, a lot of them use nitrous,
not into the air intake, but ON the intake, air hats, turbo pipes, and even
the engines themselves, because the nitrous itself is so cold it is very
convienent for cooling.
