R/T cam sucks?

I remember hearing some reports of folks not happy after installing their
MP R/T cam, as I recall most of those report came from folks with
relatively new trucks.

While working on the part numbers section of my site, I found the R/T cam
kit P5249549 is listed for use on '92-'97 motors only... could this be a
factor?

Anyone have any info on any possible cam grind changes b/w years of daks,
post '93?
