Well, it's been a productive past couple of days for me and my Dak.
Wednesday night, I installed the EGR window visors I bought off eBay
a week or so ago. I ended up getting them a little misaligned, but
luckily that double sided tape is *really* strong so I think they'll
be okay. Definitely makes the Dak look better!
Thursday afternoon I changed the oil in my truck, and installed a
WIX filter. Nothing much to say as far as that. Between oil changes
[3 months] I only drove 1523 miles .. that'll change once I start
my new pizza delivery job Monday. :)
Friday afternoon I installed the Dee Zee aluminum checkerplate bed-
mounted toolbox I bought about three weeks ago. It came with these
two 1/4" j-bolts that were just too puny and weak for me, so a
friend of mine and I fabbed up some custom mounts. It's now held in
place by 4 1/2" shank [3/4" head] bolts. It ain't going anywhere. ;)
Anyway, no real point to this message, just wanted to share the
experiences. I can say my Dak definitely looks better now with the
window visors and the shiny aluminum toolbox. Makes it look almost
meaner, in a way. :)
I'll be taking pics of this stuff eventually, and I'll be sure to
pass along a URL when I do.
Now I just have to get more stuff to do to the Dak .. I've been
feeling so motivated to do stuff with the Dak and I don't have
anything else to install! :)
