Bill,
What is the total current draw on your strobes? I think the lighter plug
has a 15 or 20 amp fuse for it and it may share it with other components
(radio?). It does seem that your strobes are not getting enough juice and
should best be connected to a higher amperage circuit. Connect it directly
to the battery with an appropriate inline fuse. If you are switching them
with a toggle switch, use a relay.

Subject: DML: Prob with my strobes
Ok finally got around to installing my strobes today (thanks to all who
helped with getting the taillights & markers off!)
Heres the problem. Each set is supposed to flash the same and did so when
hooked directly to the battery. After all was said and done I have a lazy
light on each set. I took the power from the cigarette lighter to power all
4 lights (2 sets). My guess is they are not getting enough power but wanted
to run it by you guys since I am by no means an electrician! What would you
guys suggest to remedy the problem???
Thanks!
