Now see.....same thing..if "everyone" would quit putting their money in the
bank.....maybe something would happen. Everybody bitches about it but no
one wants to give up any conveniences.
As for interest rates, your savings rates aren't going to go up when the
loan rates are going down. How do you think the banks make money?

in my case, were added on after I'd been a loyal customer for several years.
If you're stuck in a town without an ATM that your bank owns, you can enjoy
spending $3 or more to withdraw your money. What does it matter to my bank
whose ATM I use?
