You know - for some reason - I can hardly remember doing it. I can only
remember that I was worried alot about doing it because if something went wrong
- I'd be left without a ride. It went very smooth and quick. I do remember
that I expected much more fluid to come out but it barely did at all - just a
few drips. I chose a horizontal segment that was high enough not to cause a
siphon I guess. I suppose the system is pretty air tight as there must have
been a suction of sorts holding it in (no air coming in to replace the fluid
that might come out).

As far as the gauge mounting spot - I have a Ram pickup which for the '96 model
year has a very annoying drink holder location - right in the middle of the dash
at the highest spot possible and directly above the radio (that took some
smarts). I removed the drink holder which left an oblong hole which might
support at least 2 if not 3 gauges in the 2-1/16 size. I put it there and
angled it slightly towards the driver. Temp stays between 100 and 150 degrees
most of the time. Lots of stop and go traffic w/a heavy foot will cause it to
go to just above 150. You would be surprised at how long it takes it to warm up
in the non-summer months. I would prefer one of the Intellitronix gauges w/the
settable output for driving warning lights, fans, etc. I learned about those
after I had already done the deed. Hey - I still have another truck - wait I
don't mod that one. Guess I'll have to replace it one day...

Latr,

Shane
