Mike,
I am using K&N's(PN#62-1520) all metal valve cover breather, which I bought
through Summit. It fits exceptionally well, I would even say better than the
stock breather! Looks a lot better also. There are some breathers out there
with a rubber base, which will 'heat rot' out and basically fall apart, and
end up in your engine. Mine, like I said is all metal, and is the shielded
version. K&N makes a ton of breathers, both shielded and unshielded, as well
as rubber and all metal. Dont get anything other than all metal. Probably
1/2 of the 360 degree open element filter has a shield around it. The entire
housing, and shield, are chromed. I put 2 nice coats of chrome polish on the
breather when I installed it 8+ months ago and it still looks great under my
rather dirty engine compartment. Hope this helps.
