RE: Gas Prices

I know, I know...I'm in the middle of it too. But with everyone complaining
maybe we should all stop for a bit just so's the oil companies get the drift
and then we can start up again. When I say a bit I mean, as long as it
takes. I work in LA which is 45 miles from home. I take the train so that
eliminates 500 miles a week for me. Even though I drive my Jetta rather
than the Dak, the Jetta gets 23 mpg but still requires premium fuel. That
comes out to $50 in gas if I drive and that's only gas..doesn't count the
wear and tear. If I drove the Dak it would cost almost double that. The
train cost me $200/month and a lot of people are on it and ridership is
slowly starting to increase. People are getting the idea. The oil
companies are going to end up doing to themselves what the Arabs did to
themselves back in the 70's. Just give them some rope......it won't be
$4/gal for long!

Ron, you do realize who you are talkin to

The DML in general probably equates to about 1016030267125f the country's
gas
usage....with R/Ts using 716030267125f that...
:-)
