I dunno where you're coming from.....but here where I live in AZ....home of
the world's
fastest paved and liquid quarter mile at Firebird International Raceway,
stock for stock..
a 4.7 5spd vs a 5.9 R/T will lose against the R/T......I go to the track
alot...and I've never
seen one beat an R/T. Sorry....there's no replacement for displacement! I
dont care if its
got a 5spd....It aint got 345 ft/lbs of torque ooozing out the rear end for
that bitchin
launch. flame away! (gawd I love the DML...you guys are great!)
-----------------------original crap-------------------------------------
A RC 4.7 with 5sp and 3.92 gears and sure grip ("anti-spin") is faster.
But obviously a lot harder to drive fast than an R/T. Its not so much
dependent on "drivers" as it is dependent on the "driver" of the 4.7.
Because the RC 4.7 5-speed is the rocket ship. "IT" is faster stock to
stock. Period. But is the driver up to the challenge?
Flame on..... :-)
