A guy named Blaine (or Duner) races at firebird all the time in his CC setup
that way. With quite a few mods he is now running 14.6s in the 1/4, a little
slower than his 98 CC R/T ran BONE stock (14.61)..... He's got the white
one with racing stripes, and now if is fully R/Tized from wheels to
supespenions and bumpers.

Don't think Firebird is considered a particularly fast track though....

Firebird is the World's fastest PAVED 1/4 mile?
I really don't think so.....
And trust me... I've been to most of the fastest tracks in the country.
Firebird wouldn't be in my top 50. That's one of those tracks where the
bottom half of the field NHRA class racers worry about running the index.
And just how many actual 4.7L Regular Cab 5-speeds with 3.92 and sure grip
do you see on an average Saturday night??? Ed in his 5,000lb 4x4 doesn't
count as a legitimate 4.7 contender. I've never seen the mythical beast.
Just heard about Matt's. I've come across alot of Daks too in SoCal.
