The rear is "supposed" to be lifted similar to the front -- from the side
just in front of the rear wheel. I have used the diff, but there is no
balance while doing to. I wouldn't trust the axle housings with all that
weight.

Subject: DML: lifting points on a Dak?

What are the proper lifting points on a Dak with a hydraulic floor jack?
Since I have a 4x2 I place the jack under a frame member when jacking it up.
Is it factory approved to jack the rear up by the differential housing or
axle tubes? Is there another location for the front other than he frame
from the side behind the wheel?
