Trying to figure out which engine(3.9L, 4.7L, 5.2L, 5.9L) was available on
these years:
-1997 4WD Dakotas had which engine options?
-1998 4WD Dakotas had which engine options?
-1999 4WD Dakotas had which engine options?
I also need to know about the transfer cases? Were all 97-99 Dakotas Part
Time 4WD? Which tcase came with what engine? I know the NP231 and NP231HD
are widely used in GenIII Dakotas.
How about axles. The front diff is something like a Dana 30 Hybrid or Dana
35 Hybrid? The rear was either the 8.25 or the 9.25, what designed which
axle was put in there? The glove box 'tag' should list the rear diff model,
shouldnt it?
I cant afford 2000/2001/2002 4WD Dakotas, so I wont even ask about them!
