   I'm not sure about the transfer case or the front diff, but some of this
stuff I can help you with... The 9.25 first became available in 1997 I
believe. (Though it *might* be 1998... It was definitely one of those
two years though.) I think it could be special ordered, or a V8 manual
would trigger it I think. Ok, that wasn't much help. :-) I'm not sure
about the tag, but if you look under the truck the 8.25 and 9.25 are
very easy to tell apart; the 9.25 is much bigger, and is kinda shaped
like a diamond as opposed to the "oval" 8.25. I don't recall the
number of bolts offhand, but if you want that info let me know and I'll
poke my head under the Dak and the Ram.

  As far as the engines go, the 4.7 wasn't offered at all during those
years, and the 3.9 and 5.2 were offered on all of those years. The 5.9
was available in '98 and '99, but only in the R/T model.
