In addition, it helps to loosen the two pulley bolts just enough to get the
screwdriver UNDER one of them and OVER the other one, be careful and only
loosen them enough to get the screwdriver in there. Then I used a 1.5 inch
adjustable wrench (opened ALL the way) to get a hold of the big ass fan
clutch bolt. My fan clutch bolt was a standard lefty loosey, however some
folks have reported there's were reverse threaded. Watch your knuckles as
that suckers on there tight. A "helper" bar on the end of your wrench could
save some skin and make it easier. Just be careful not to break the pulley
bolts you are using for leverage.

Use a big screwdriver (or something similar) to brace between the bolts on
the pulley, then take your wrench or pliers of choice and break the fan nut
loose.
