Transmission I.D.

Ok I know Dodge calls the transmission in my 99 R/T a 46RE but if you look
at aftermarket pans they don't use this terminology. They use A500, A518,
even the MOPAR Performance catalog uses the A500 A518 terminology but they
don't tell you the cross. My dealer was no help... Figures. Anybody on here
know what the more common term for my tranny is?
