The Gen II Dakotas had a plow package that came with trans oil cooler
and also a transmission temperature light on the dash. I'd investigate
the factory pieces required to get this factory setup. It may be
simpler than you think. If I remember right, the trans temp light was
right under the OD button on the left side of the dash.
