OK , heres what worked for me. Western Chassis 2" shackle
hanger for the rear and removed the overload springs. 2.75"
total lowering with STOCK shocks and no bottoming out.
Heck I still have the stock shocks on it because the ride is
really good. 1" lowering springs in front dropped my 98 RC
to 1.75 inches, again stock shocks and no bottoming out.
So if your after ride quality and better handling than stock
this setup has been great for me. If your into taking corners
at warp speed, you need something stiffer, buy the Hotchkis.

I luv my Dak. ;)

comin' from a frame scraper I may be able to shed some light on this. =)
You can only go down 3 to 4" without notching the frame. At 4" you should
notch it, otherwise big bumps will cause the rear to hit the frame.
SOmetimes a 2" will cause it to happen on a big enough bump, especially with
the 9 1/4 rear. A shackle/hanger kit won't make any difference
unfortunately. If you want to go low, you gotta' run a notch.
