Axle separated from diff ??

Anyone else had this happen?

Driving down the highway, hit a bump in the road, and the axle came out
about 6 inches rendering the vehicle inoperative. Dealer's gonna look at it
tomorrow. 1 year old Quad Cab, 4.7 with 3.55 open diff and auto tranny.

Any ideas or comments welcome
