YES on the T'Stat and NO on resetting the PCM.

Is the 180 T-stat that most use in the 4.7 (ex: Robert Shaw 755-180) the
same exact one that can be used in the 5.2, 5.9, and the v6?

Chip question: Resetting the PCM with the chip installed, will this
drain the memory tables of the chip also, basically making it useless?
