RE: Rear End Gears (Bernd , Chuck, Andy)

It's a heck of a lot cheaper (labor wise) to do them both at once. Be about
$1200 separate, maybe 800-900 together.

Subject: Re: DML: Rear End Gears (Bernd , Chuck, Andy)

I looked up that site you gave me Chuck....thanks.
According to the calculator it says at 80 mph with my 28" tires......
3.90 3844 rpm / 2621 in OD
4.11 4051 rpm / 2762 in OD

my present gears 3.55.....3499 rpm / 2386 in OD

Seems like the difference when in OD is negligible ....or not much.
Will the 4.10's really reduce my mileage by much?....376 rpm?
I now get 16.5 to 17.5

Also Chuck do I really need to get the Posi Unit? ....I'm not going to be
racing or pulling hole shots.....I'm just tired of getting my ass kicked off
a
light.
Thanks
Bob
