I don't understand your first question. The bumpstop is there to hit when you
bottom out. So the space between the control arm and the bumpstop is the
travel from static to bottom.
I think I have the V8 springs, but the V6 one are probably a better weigh to
go. The V8 springs are based on the 5.2 and 5.9L weights and the V6 springs
are for the 3.9L. The 4.7L is slighly lighter than the 3.9L.
