DragStrip Improvements

Finally got the truck to the dragstrip for some times w/the new combo.
Gained a consistent 3 to 4 tenths in the 1/4 and 1 to 2 tenths in the
60-ft times. Woohoo! Main performance mods were MP R/T camshaft
(installed 3 degrees advanced), new (5oz lighter ea?) MP lifters,
DynaGear double-roller timing set, Milodon windage tray, home port/valve
cleanup on heads.

Now that my 5000+lb beast is running consistent mid-to-high 15s, I think
its time to loose some weight and do some more mods. My HookerSuperComp
deal didn't pan out and I had to send them back. Headers have to be in
the next few upgrades as the stock manifolds and y-pipe have to be
holding me back now. I wanted the Hooker SuperComps but may go with a
set of MP/Leach headers. Time for a phase II port/hone job on the ole
TB also it seems.

A set of Crane 1.7 roller rockers, the headers, and an electric fan
setup should wake her up some more. Next will be my new 4.10 gearset
along w/a Dana Sure-Grip assy, and new Nitto meats!

Latr,

Shane
