Not with an Auto tranny and Overdrive, you're looking at 2400ish maybe a
little less at 75 with O/D... Though I just noticed that you have a 5
speed, that is right AT your power band, though it would suck some juice at
highway speed on a long trip though if that's really what the gears end up
being.

I'm trying to figure out the new gearing for the dakota. I'm running 31's
with a 5 speed v6. The current axle ratio is 3:56. I was looking at 4:11
but the RPM's at 65mph are around 2900. Is that good placement within the
power band? The formula I'm using is:
rpm=(mph*gear ratio*336)/tire size
