You are in sense...correct..however...I have seen the NSX post being sent
throughout all of the internet at many different car clubs and
boards..."most" people actually "believe" that this was a scientifically
proven way to show that one wax is better than the next. The replies of my
post (the basic gist) is that this is not true. I do NOT believe when it
comes to engine modifications, such as the helpful hints and tips on motors,
engine and such this is not the case...as these modifications can be proven
or disproven thru a dyno....as the great posts by Bernd have already shown.
The DML's are a great place to garnish this kind of useful info...that is
why I am here :)...not here to be told that "Bubba", his "wife"....and his
drinking buddies sat around and "POLISHED" a hood with "WAX" and then
polished a hood with "POLISH" and then "determined that as an
indenpendant "test"...as "scientific" proof that it IS better. I hjave no
problem being told one person tried it out and in their "opinion" it was
better...I think that is quite fair and just :)...as far as my dog having a
higher Iq than me...you just may be right about that! :)....take

I am normally just a lurker on this list however, I feel the time has come
to address the great Pierre. Sean posted some information to this list
relative to a wax test he conducted. Pierre has concluded, and rightfully
so, that this test was not conducted using a scientific methodology. Has it
occurred to you Pierre that more than 99% of the advice and information you
see posted to the DML is based upon subjective evaluation and opinion, which
does not meet the scientific methodology criteria. Sean provided some
information which I and I am sure others found useful; I'm sure none of us
consider it thorough or that it is gospel. Sean provided some information
which might be useful to some; about the only information I gleaned from
Pierre's post is that Prince probably has a higher IQ than Pierre and
perhaps he should join the DML. We shouldn't criticize members who try to
provide useful information. If you want to be critical aim it at the
countless non-Dak posts we have dealing with blood and gut pictures as well
as those about the Neon.
