Stewart, Try warming the plastic with a hair dryer. A hot air gun might work
but could damage the paint unless you're very careful.
Some of the solvents mentioned in other replies may do the trick but first
try them somewhere out of sight like under the hood or down on the body
pinch seam, just in case.
