Depends on how fast you're going. 55 MPH is 88 feet/sec, so .3 seconds
would be, very roughly, 26.4 feet, about 1.66 car lengths. More likely you
were in the low 80s at the 1/4 mile mark, so figure maybe 2 1/2 car lengths
(again, very rough).
