ACK, no good. I wouldn't do either of these. Putting V8 springs on a V6
will raise you ride height but it will substantially harshin the ride due to
the higher spring rate. I'm no lifting expert, but I think what you need is
longer springs at the same V6 spring rate.

It's worse in the other direction. V6 springs will let the V8 truck "sag"
lower. But the lower spring rate in addition to the lower travel will get
you bottomed out every time you hit a reflector dot. Lowering springs need
to be shorter and stiffer than stock springs, otherwise they suck.
