Kevin; Water vapor and even moisture dripping from the exhaust are normal
until the engine warms up. This is especially noticeable on cooler days.
This is the main reason that lots of short trips shorten the life of the
pipes and muffler. The system doesn't warm up enough to vaporize the water
vapor and rust starts inside the muffler big time.
Take a sniff of the vapor when the engine is still cold. The smell of
coolant will be noticeable if you have coolant getting into the combustion
process.
