Looks like one of the older propane powered turbines the radio control
airplanes guys were using a few years back. You can probably pick one up for
about $1000.00 these days. Everyone has moved on to kerosene now. The last I
heard, there are 66 people in the US registered with the Academy of Model
Aeronautics to fly RC turbines.

Before these small turbines were available commercially, a lot of people
built their own with rotors out of car turbos.

As far as adding one to your truck, you want something larger. These small
propane units only put out about 15 lbs. of thrust. The newer larger ones
are hitting about 70 lbs. Build one with about 500 lbs and you should get a
nice little boost on the butt dyno :)
