Dead catalytic converter? (I almost stopped at "cat" but that would be weird)
Loose heat shielding somewhere? Under hood or under the body.

It may be worthwhile bringing the truck to a Dodge dealer. If you have to come
to Syracuse for that, avoid Sam Dell and cruise to Burdick in Cicero.
