The 255 part is the section width of the section width of the tire in
millimeters.
I think an inch is like 25.4mm so the tire would be about 10 inches at its
widest point.

The 65 is the aspect ratio. The ratio of the sidewall height to the
section width. A 255-50 would have a 10" section width and a 5" sidewall
height.

The 16 is the rim diameter.

To determine diameter in inches:
(255*65*2)/(25.4???) + 16 =

I just not sure 25.4 is the right conversion number.... Going by my faulty
memory.
