I love the idea of a "lethal force" (or almost lethal) response to
a breakin/carjack attempt. However, you really don't want such a
system to damage the vehicle it is installed in.

How about a high-powered taser system?

Seriously though... what good is an alarm that makes a lot of racket
if you live in an area where car alarms are going off all the time
anyway due to air force jets flying overhead at about 300 feet? Are there
any alarm systems that take a more active role in theft deterrance? If
not, perhaps it is time for some...

I'm not bitter about the 6 different times I've been robbed. Nope,
not at all. BTW, beware of the neck-height machete on the pendulum
as you enter my apartment... ;)
