That is correct as most manual have a clutch switch that will prevent the
engine from starting if the clutch is not depressed. This can be easily
overridden but will be an extreme safety hazard if the tranny is not left in
Neutral and using a remote starter. All Remote Starter kits will state that
they are not to be used on manual trannys for this reason.
