Subject: DML: V6 vacuum line question

On a much lighter note.....when my Dak was at the dealership, I decided to
take a look at the engine compartment ( I try to do a once over whenever I
turn the vehicle over to the dealership...in case something changes when I
get it back)

I have a vacuum connection open, with no hose in sight. While idling, it
conrinuous sucks in air, if I plug the hole up while idling, the Dak
practically stalls out. I looked to identify WHAT it is by checking the
"Haynes" manual, but couldn't find a pic.

Here's it's location:

While standing on the passenger's side of the vehicle, looking into the
engine compartment:
just below the throttle linkage there are a number of connections to the
block itself...a number of which I am assuming are sensors.

>From lefft to right there are 2 "quick connect" type connections to the
block...then immediately to the right of those is where I have the open
port. It looks like a simple vacuum line hose connection. This port 'faces'
you and exits the block horizontally.

If you know what this is, and where the connection should be made...culd ya
tell me? I looked for a loosed hose somewhere and could't find it anywhere.
I'm hoping if someone can tell me where the 'other' end connects too, I
should be able to find it.

Thanks again,
