Well, let me just say thanks to those who have given some input. It's times
like these that I'm glad I have access to a resource like the DML.....anyway
Dealership said they will look at the truck tomorro. "Somehow they
supposedly were able to get the truck into 2nd gear to move it...although
they said they couldn't get it into 1st??
My guess would be the clutch also....but we'll see.
I talked with my lender about getting copies of my dealership
paperwork....(couldn't find mine quick). Turns out I do have a 72month/100k
warranty....but NOT with Chrystler (I should have looked at the damn fine
print.
In hindsight, the warranty only cost just over $900 total. The "warranty"
works more like an insurance policy. They have specialist who determine
whether the problem falls within the warranty guidelines.....then they
determine how much to pay. Well, considering the plan only cost ~$900, i
can't imagine that it would cover everything. I also have a $50 deductible.
Thing is, when we bought the truck....salesman told us it was a extended
warranty....bumper-to-bumper. This 'option' was added at the last minute
while we were finalizing the financial agreement. I asume that if it was an
extended warranty, it was thru chrystler...no surprise that they spring this
'added' feature at the very end of the purchase process.
I'll keep yall updated with regards ot how this company deals with the
repair. That way, some of you may benefit from my purchase mistake (as u can
tell, I am assuming that this warranty is not gonna pay out much...)
Especially considering that I calle the company and asked for a copy of my
bumper-to-bumper policy...and they said they have "no such warranty".
Specific details about company name etc to follow...
