I'm posting from the college as Charter communication has had no internet
connection since Friday!!!
On Saturday, I was on the highway, and as I went to downshift, I couldn't
get the Dak into gear!! It's at the dealership now and they are now telling
me that I don't seem to have the "extended warranty" that I paid for (now I
gotta search for my contract). The Dak only has 36k on it....but from what
they are telling me, it is no linger under any warranty!
Anyway, does anyone have a clue as to what my transmission problem might
be?? It goes into gear fine when the engine is not running, but when
running, I can push on the stick all I want...it wont go. Also the clutch
doesn't feel right...seems to go right to the floor with very little
resistance. As I have no internet acess indefinitely...if you have any
constructive advice about dealing with the dealership or giving me some
technical advice about my problem....please respond via my email at

I could use any advice especially if I have to pay for this job outa
pocket....although my wife and I cold swear we are paying an xtra $50 a
month for the 100k/6year extended warranty.
