Flowkooler Waterpump, DEI, and a 180 T'Stat.

Be careful with the Flex-Fans...they're notorious for letting loose and
flying through radiators or hood. (Happened to me a long time ago...and
at 4000rpm.)

Subject: DML: Old waterpump/fan on newer dak?

OK, I am tired of the stupid liquid-clutch fan on my truck. The thing
makes way too much noise and never seems to un-lock. I live in Vegas
and the a/c is on 24/7, and I am tired of the fan sucking 10-15HP while
I am doing 60mph.

I was wondering if a water pump from an old 318 would bolt up, and still
use the serpentine, but then use a standard flex-fan. Anyone tried
this?

The electrical fan is a no-go too. Once the air gets over 90, you can't
idle with the a/c on without overheating.

Thanks,
Kevin
