Keep in mind that blood has a limited shelf life, and a person
can donate once every 56 days (7 weeks). If you want to wait
and donate 3 or 4 weeks from now, it will probably be just as
helpful. There will be lots of folks needing surgery in the
next few months. You might want to consider making it a regular
commitment. I've donated 9 gallons in the past 20 years, and
I'll be at the donation center on October 11th when I'm elligible
again.
